All Hail Caesar!

For years, Ernie the Cat was a celebrity in Ashland. He "ran" the Lithia Park Shoe Store and was often found lounging in the window. He received birthday cards from admirers from around the globe, and appeared on national TV. Alas, he went to Cat Heaven a couple of years ago.

Ernie's place as ruler of the shoe store was taken over by "Lolita". Like Ernie, but unlike the svelte nymphet that was the main character in the Nabokov novel of that name, she is one very large gato. She's now been joined in the store by a new, smaller Tabby male named "Julius Caesar" who has a jumpy, jittery personality and who scuttles back into the storeroom whenever he thinks a customer approaching him looks a little too much like Brutus on the Ides of March.
